Why are your playgrounds different?
Just like the people who play on our playgrounds, everyone is different. We don’t believe one size fits all and welcome inclusion and equity with our clients. Our products showcase this.
What type of water play products do you provide?
We have a wide variety of water play elements like misters, splash pad nozzles, and stream play pumps and weirs. We can infuse these elements into sculptures to truly redefine the water pay experience for adults and kids alike.
What is a splash pad?
A splash pad is a fully accessible spray pad with nozzles that provide humans of all abilities a fully immersive water experience. It can include waterfalls, multi-jet spray nozzles, water shooters, and dumping buckets.
How much does a splash pad cost?
This depends upon your location, demographics, and intent. Most splash pads require a recirculated water treatment system and UV filters to ensure they meet health department requirements for public use. We recommend you contact us for your splash pad needs.
What types of shade structures do you provide?
We provide custom shade systems that include fabric, steel, wood, or solar roofs. We also integrate shade systems into our play structures for 100% protection from the sun. We provide full-turnkey design, engineering, and fabrication of shade systems anywhere in the U.S. Contact us for more information
Is shade needed on the playground?
Absolutely! As global temperatures continue to rise, heat exposure has become a global epidemic. We strongly recommend shade over at least 50% of a play area so children can safely play without excessive UV exposure. Our shade systems are 100% custom to our clients needs and can cover playgrounds, as well as, picnic areas, corporate lounge areas, or festivals.

What kind of warranty do you offer?
Landrec provides a limited warranty on all products ranging from 3 years 50yrs depending on materials used.

Safety
Does your play equipment comply with standards?
All of our commercial products meet or exceed ASTM and CPSC safety standards as well as ADA standards for accessibility.
Why does a playground need safety surfacing?
Commercial playgrounds require fall surfacing to avoid serious injuries. ASTM 1292 focuses on impact attenuation and ASTM 1951 for accessible surfaces. There are different types of surfacing you can use like sand, engineered wood fiber, or poured-in-place rubber.

What materials do you use and why?
We use a variety of materials depending upon client preference, location, demographic, and play experiences. High quality metals, timber, composites, and even water and electrical elements.
What does sustainability have to do with playgrounds?
Sustainability is key to providing a healthier planet future generations currently playing on our playgrounds. We do our part to make sure materials are sourced from safe vendors.

Is it easy to maintain a playground?
Yes, as long as you follow the maintenance instructions, your playground will last several decades.

Social Responsibility
What are you doing to promote sustainability on the playground?
We use sustainable materials like FSC timber and recycled plastic composites as well as recyclable steel and aluminum in our designs.
What is a community built playground?
A community built playground is where communities forego the traditional installation by a licensed contractor and instead form groups of volunteers to help build the playground. Its a great way to save on project costs and provide a helping hand to your neighbors.
